What is Microblading
Microblading is a manual method of semi permanent cosmetics which does NOT use a normal permanent makeup machine.
Microblading is done by using a unique hand held instrument with a row of very fine needles that deposit pigment into the top layer of skin with slicing, feathering strokes.
This creates very crisp, hair looking strokes that do NOT blur after healing, of which you may experience with a traditional permanent makeup machine.
What are Powder Brows?
Powder Brows are a form of semi permanent cosmetics of which an electric permanent makeup machine is used. in It provides a more “fill in” look as
compared to microblading strokes.
How long does it last?
Everyone is different dependent on their skin type; A mature client with dry skin may only need to come in every 1-2 years for a touch up, however younger clients with oily skin may require a touch up every 3 to 6 months. The pigment is typically completely vanished within 3 years.
Does it hurt?
This is designed to be a gentle procedure with minimal discomfort. The degree of discomfort will depend on your pain threshold. A topical anesthetic numbing cream is applied which is absorbed into the skin within a few seconds. Once the cream has absorbed, you will have very little feeling. A second topical anesthetic and ice is used once the skin is penetrated, should the client feel sensitive to the pain. It is compared similar to a CAT SCRATCH!
How long does it last?
Everyone is different dependent on their skin type; Typically a powder brow will last 6-9 months longer then Microblading before a touchup is recommended.
